The Spinifex Story

Recruitment companies Smalls Recruiting, GWS and JHA originally began working together in 2004 out of a need the NSW State Government had to have a reliable, available, skilled temporary workforce throughout metropolitan and regional NSW. In time our relationship grew to also include this service to the Mining and Construction industries across metropolitan and regional Australia.
 
In August 2012 this longstanding partnership was incorporated into Spinifex Australia Holdings Pty Ltd.
 
Together we have over 75 years of experience supplying recruitment services.
 
Spinifex Australia Holdings is a group of multi-talented and versatile recruitment companies with personalised approaches to doing business. One size does not fit all. We have built our reputations on customising our recruitment solutions for business using fresh and innovative perspectives.
 
We are an Australian owned recruitment company group servicing City, Country and Coastal Australia in Executive, Business Support, ICT, Mining and Technical Labour Hire recruitment.

With our total recruitment service, we help our clients find the right people in the numbers they need to scale up quickly. This service includes a Smalls Recruiting consultant to sit on panel interviews and the implementation of assessment centres as and when necessary.
 
Smalls Recruiting is built for success... we have long-established relationships with numerous Commercial and Government clients. Many have chosen to formalise the relationship with a Preferred Supplier contract.
 
Smalls Recruiting is a Private Company... we are a third generation Australian privately-owned company that was founded as Staff Appointments Centre in 1960 by Jack Small. In 1978, Jack’s son John commenced as Managing Director and today, Jack’s grandson, Scott, is our Chief Executive Officer.
 
Smalls Recruiting is part of the real world... we keep our feet on the ground. As proud as we are of our skills in the recruitment field, we’re prouder still of our involvement with several charities, and we like to help out with our clients’ charitable endeavors too. We support Opportunity International who, by working through microfinance and enterprise development services, create jobs for the poor in third world countries.
 
 
We also offer our support to a Not-for-Profit organisation "Rising Generations". They are a dynamic, youth leadership training organisation equipping and empowering the next generation of leaders. Their programs revolve around interpersonal and leadership skills to assist these young people to contribute and make a real difference in their school, families and communities.
